Day 1: Athens – Corinth Canal – Nafplio
Start your journey in Athens, the city considered to be the cradle of Western civilization. After exploring the historic sights in Athens, head to the Corinth Canal, a stunning engineering marvel that connects the Aegean and Ionian seas. Continue to Nafplio, one of Greece’s most charming coastal towns full of historic sites & monuments, and spend the night enjoying its graphic beauty and romantic atmosphere.

Day 2: Nafplio – Mycenae – Epidaurus – Sparta
Depart from Nafplio to visit ancient Mycenae, the legendary kingdom of Agamemnon. See the ruins and marvel at the famous Lion Gate carved in massive stones. Continue to the ancient theater of Epidaurus, witness its grandeur and its perfect acoustics. In the afternoon, we head to Sparta, the ancient city famous for its warriors and military prowess for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Sparta – Mystras – Monemvasia
Visit the medieval city of Mystras, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its Byzantine churches and stunning views from the hills to the planes of Sparta. Later we explore the Sparta Olive Oil Museum, learning about Greece’s rich olive oil tradition and the olive oil making process. Afterward, we drive to the breathtaking town of Monemvasia and settle in for the night.

Day 4: Monemvasia
Spend the day exploring the fortified castle town of Monemvasia, famous for its medieval architecture and narrow streets. Walk along the stone paths in the old part of town and discover ancient churches, Byzantine ruins, and the brathtaking beauty of this unique island-town. Enjoy another overnight stay here.

Day 5: Return to Athens
After a relaxing morning in Monemvasia, drive back to Athens to complete your 5-day journey through some of Greece’s most iconic and historical landmarks. All done at your own pace, and with a local, knowledgable driver to advise you on timetables, and popular sites on this taxi tour of the Peloponnese.
